Courtyard By Marriott Basel Hotel - Pratteln

Loved the direct access to the water park and great room cleanliness. My quality room reminded me of a fresh retreat.

The staff are superbly friendly, the hotel is clean and the breakfast is really tasty. It boasts magnificent, convenient location adjacent to all the buses, the nearest supermarket and a river cruise down the Rhine. And it's by Rhine.

comfortable stay but lacking in personal service

The room was comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide selection, allowing me to suit my preferences each morning. The efficient check-in made my arrival smooth and hassle-free. I appreciated that other guests found direct access to local attractions quite beneficial.

I noticed that the service from the personnel didn't always match expectations.

Very friendly staff

You need to calculate 29 chf for parking per night as there are no other parking possibilities around plus air condition was not working properly in the hotel, the room couldn't cool down

Magnificent central location short walk to all the buses, trams and local trains in Basel, all transport in Basel and the Aquabasilea, a very well designed spa.

The staff was extremely rude.

Spa was a nice surprise, but the internet was pretty unreliable .

A comfortable hotel with very friendly staff

The food in the restautant is terrible. Even the french fries taste like the were cooked in old fat

We found the staff friendly and helpful. Even though we only stayed for one night on our return visit two weeks later the receptionist remembered us

No room service or porters

We enjoyed the fantastic access to the nearby Aquabasilia, where the kids had a blast swimming and relaxing in the saunas. The gym was excellent with great facilities.

My wife says that the kitchenette lacked basic utensils for our child.

Clean, with helpful and polite staff. Next door to Aquabasilea so great for the children after a day's sightseeing. Close to the motorways to airport, Basel, Zurich and Luzern.

Had to pay extra for everything! Did not think a business hotel should charge extra for wifi/internet connection. Telephone charges were very high too, as were the laundry charges: $10 for laundering a shirt! All other Courtywards I have stayed at had a washing machine and dryer for guests - add one here please!

We booked the Courtyard by Marriott Basel as it is right next door to the Aquabasilea water park, a great place for fun and relaxation if you like water. The food in the Max restaurant was great food, a nice surprise as there don't seem to be many restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean, comfortable and quite. The stay was also very good value for money. No complaints, we'll stay there again if we are in the area.

Direct access to a fantastic water park and spacious room

The direct access to the Aquabasilea water park was a game changer for my family, offering endless fun right next door. I appreciated the complimentary Basel Card for easy public transport around the city. The dining prices were a bit steep and could deter some guests.

It is too remote from anywhere. A long walk in the rain to the station. Very expensive taxi fares in order to get about...70 SwF to go 5k's to the airport!!
